Calpe has survived economically through the centuries mainly on salt production, fishing and agriculture, that is until the 20th Century, when the tourism industry took over in importance. Calpe today, is a busy tourist resort with some fine beaches and excellent facilities.

Benidorm is the primary tourist resort for the entire Costa Blanca region and is in fact the busiest seaside resort in Europe, with over 4 million visitors each year. This has not always been the case, as not so long ago Benidorm was just a tiny fishing village with little else to commend it.

Benidorm grew initially during the 1950’s and 1960’s, propelled by cheaper travel and flights and the opening of the new airport at Alicante. Nearly 2,000 merchants surveyed voice eCommerce concerns

NEW YORK, NY – July 30, 2007 – While eCommerce fraud is projected to cost businesses $9.25 billion in 2007, the cost of managing fraud actually exceeds the cost of fraud itself by as much as 300%. preCharge Risk Management Solutions, a leading provider of proprietary chargeback and fraud protection services, today announced the release of its 1st Annual Chargeback Report. Based on an independent survey of nearly 2,000 online merchants, the report highlights growing concerns expressed by the vast majority of participating merchantsabout the cost of managing online fraud and eCommerce.
